How to Set the Padding on the Top Edge of a TextView/EditText
added in API Level 1Sets the padding, in pixels, of the top edge. Padding is defined as space between the edges of the view and the view's content. A view size will include it's padding.
1. Add a TextView in your main.xml file.
2. In the main.xml file, add the code below.
<TextView
...
android:paddingTop = "50sp"
/>
3. Compile and run!
